Search Engines: We’re continuously figuring out the ever-changing algorithms (the programs they use to categorize web sites) of the top search engines, to be able to put your site where its seen, heard and felt. Achievable? Definitely! 95% of web surfers use one or more of the top 20 crawlers and directories, which are:
Spiders: Infoseek, Lycos, AltaVista, Excite, HotBot, MSN, Northern Light, Canada, FAST, Google and Inktomi.
Directories: (human controlled, they reserve the right to add any sites): Yahoo!, AOL, About, Go.com, Dmoz.org, Looksmart, DirectHit, Zeal and NBCi.
Vortals: We also submit your site to any vertical portals in your category (ie. local search engines such as SearchBC or category specific engines such as FinancialFind).
